“Botrytis is a truly natural wonder. Everything we dared to leave out on the vines was botrytised in 2017. This Szamorodni is a Tokaj wine through and through, with Mád’s minerality and Tarcal’s fruit,” says László Szilágyi. Ten harvest days (between October 17 and November 7) and the botrytised bunches from six vineyards (Bomboly, Medve, Barát, Deák, Szil-völgy, Kastély), from the winery’s best plots were put into the press. 2019 is an outstanding sweet wine vintage, we managed to make both Aszú and Szamorodni. We were able to select the raw material from Szamorodni beautifully in the last third of October. The high-quality fruit was processed in the usual way, matured in wooden barrels and bottled at the end of summer. He is currently at the beginning of his career, bursting with freshness.
