Pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil are widely used in folk medicine and, in recent decades, both in gastronomy and in over-the-counter (OTC) medicinal products worldwide for their therapeutic properties. The oil, obtained by a unique pressing method, has a characteristic dark greenish-dark brown colour and a pleasant taste. Regular consumption of pumpkin seed oil helps to maintain good health and, as well as providing a gastronomic experience, it can be used to complement ongoing medical treatment and, in milder cases, can also be used on its own.
