The three founders, Sandra Wimmeler, Denis Lönnendonker and Tobias Schwoll, set out to make their dreams come true in 2008 in Weilerhof, located in the volcanic area. Tobias Schwoll, who was originally involved in potato production, became the father of Windspiel because of his dreams. As a result of hard work and determination, a gin was born that is made from noble potatoes, with a uniquely creamy and confident taste. The team experimented and fine-tuned each herbal component to achieve the desired harmony. The name Windspiel commemorates Frederick the Great, i.e. Fridericus Rex, the Prussian king who first recognized the value of potatoes on German soil. The label depicts a lovely greyhound associated with the king, further reinforcing the gin's historical background. This premium dry gin boasts uniquely delicate fruity notes and the freshness characteristic of a German cocktail gin.
