Duval Leroy is one of the few family-owned prestige champagne houses in Champagne. Their brut champagne is a full-bodied, creamy specialty with a citrus aroma. The elegant red wine of an exceptional Villány vintage with a layered nose and palate. “For me, this is the real Villány wine, it became stocky,” said Attila Gere. Forest fruits, blackcurrant and blackberry, thick spiciness and good tannins. A perfectly ripened Cabernet Franc with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon spices. Its color is deep purple with burgundy reflexes. The flavors of the aroma, especially prunes, roasted cinnamon and vanilla, explode and then the aroma is constantly expanding. “Botrytis is a truly natural wonder. Everything we dared to leave out on the vines was botrytised in 2017. This Szamorodni is a Tokaj wine through and through, with Mád’s minerality and Tarcal’s fruit,” says László Szilágyi. Fine aromas in the nose start with apple, flowers and linden honey. The fruitiness on the palate is dominated by citrusy notes, especially grapefruit and pineapple. A touch of vanilla and pastries also appear in the background. Fresh, but quite round sparkling wine that offers a pleasant effervescence and shows some mineral, salty character in its aftertaste. The optimal dosage makes it an excellent choice in gastronomy.

Rosé Impérial is a spontaneous, radiant, romantic expression of the Moët & Chandon style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity.

Iconic labels and wine names abound at the Pannonhalmi Főapátság (Archabby). Such is the Infusio, the Prior, and by now the Hemina has become a similar concept. 60% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Blanc, 10% Viognier and finally 5% Sauvignon Blanc. The harvest was carried out at the best possible time, with precise optical sorting, gentle pressing, extraction by gravity and then fermentation in 500-litre oak barrels. Ripe white fruit and minerality, with a subtly creamy texture.

Dry rosé sparkling wine.

Thanks to the barrel and tank maturation, as well as the time given to it during preparation, Barta Anna Gamay Noir Rosé will retain its values even after several years. This is an unusual item in the rosé category that is really unique. In the aroma of the wine, in addition to the red berries, the barrel maturation appears in a restrained spiciness. To taste cherries and currants, the rosette is made fresh by the astringency of the pomegranate, while a little vanilla and tannin add another layer to the wine.

The abbey’s first Belgian-style beer, with alcohol (5%) on the lower side, with a fruity malt and yeast emphasis. It’s a very pure, yet refreshing beer, for which a lot of exciting and spicy hop varieties were selected alongside the traditional hops, by the brewmaster Fülöp Tihanyi. We, at Barta, only make a pezsgő, that is, sparkling wine in vintages that perfectly suit the purpose – and 2017 was exactly such a vintage. It was an ‘easy’ growing season with limited pest pressure and a long, sunny days that ensured good phenolic ripeness and balance in the grapes. The Furmint base wine had high and fine, fresh acidity, along with minerality and elegance. Secondary fermentation took place in the bottle, and the wine was aged on the lees for 3 years before disgorgement.

About the liqueur: The bitter liqueur is an extract of seven herbs described in the recipe of Elek Reisch in 1735, with apple brandy from Agárd. As an aperitif, it helps digestion, reduces the feeling of fullness, and is very delicious even with its bitter taste.

Flying Rabbit is the best-known Hungarian kraft IPA, and the most prominent member of our brewery's core range. With plenty of Citra and Centennial hops from overseas, it has both the tropical fruitiness and the distinct resinous, bittering flavours of the style, all combined with a pleasant body. A 5.8% New England IPA in a can. Cyber Rabbit is a classic NEIPA, double cold hopped with Citra, Mosaic El Dorado and Centennial hops. Brewed with lots of real mango, Mango Hero is like biting into a ripe mango. Its slightly creamy mouthfeel and sweet-tart flavour of the fruit blend perfectly with this classic ale style beer.

The smaller, lighter, softer, more drinkable sibling of today's trendy IPAs. The hops are flavoursome, the bittering is soft, so although it's a complex beer, it remains drinkable. A gateway beer to the world of craft beers.
