Restrained aroma, first green fruits (red apple, pear) with minerality and slight flint. In a glass, southern fruits become dominant. Tasting a blade, we get a perfectly educated item, everything is in place. Its taste is similar to its scent. The finish lasts nicely, with a return of flint and a little warmth in the throat.

St. Donat's Winery
The owner Kovács family laid the foundations of today's estate in 1994, but the relationship of the ancestors with grapes and wine dates back much earlier. The paternal branch of the family has been connected to the Káli Basin for almost two hundred years, while the maternal branch has been attached to the Káli Basin. Both lines brought with them a love of grapes and wine, as well as a tradition of winemaking. Of the three brothers who represent the new generation, Tamás runs the winery and restaurant.
Our areas are located in Csopak, Tihany and Káli Fekete Hill. All three production sites at Lake Balaton have a specific microclimate and geology. In addition to the different location and the distance from Lake Balaton, the soils in the vineyards are also markedly different, which greatly influences the character of the wines.
The 15-hectare estate scale on a human scale gives us the opportunity to grow our own viticulture and to place a strong emphasis on yield restrictions. In addition to Csopak, we cultivate grapes in Tihany and in the Káli Basin, in the best locations of Fekete-hegy, and we work exclusively with varieties that meet the traditions of the wine region.
The diverse location and soil of the areas help our quality aspirations, as does the fact that we process only our own grapes and every aspect of winemaking takes place on the Csopak estate. We carry out controlled organic farming in most of our areas, registered by the Hungária Öko Garancia under registration number 763866.
