Our truffle-flavoured balsamic plum jam is made from Satu Mare plum jam. The traditional Satu Mare plum jam is cooked for one day without adding sugar, the result is a plum extract with a pitchy consistency and a unique fruity-almondy character. This intense, lively jam is nicely complemented by the strong, wild aromas of truffles.
We recommend it for flavouring and for consumption on its own, with savoury and sweet dishes.
Suggested use
- Eaten on its own with a tablespoon
- As an accompanying sauce for large game and waterfowl
- As an accompaniment to soft and aged cheeses, grilled aged cheeses, cheese toast
- Mixed with horseradish or horseradish sauces
- For flavouring earthy fruit, dark chocolate, poppy seed sauces, creams, sweetness, filling for pastry with almonds, almond paste, cakes, served with cream, vanilla puddings
- With cognac, red wine, flambéed fruit
