Mixed flower honey is not a separate type of honey, as its composition can vary widely, but in all cases it is made exclusively from the nectar of flowers. Variations may result from the diversity of plants visited by bees, but also from the blending of different non-species honeys in the apiaries. This is why the colour of these honeys is extremely varied, usually dark brownish. They crystallise moderately quickly. It can be used for upper respiratory tract diseases, to disinfect wounds and to treat burns on the skin.
It is recommended for hot and cold drinks, and goes well with fresh cheeses, especially goat's cheese. It also acts as a cosmetic agent for skin and hair.
