Roku gin is the culmination of a 100-year dream and 100 years of experience.
Enchanted by the number six
As mentioned in the brief introduction, "Roku" means 6 in Japanese. If you look carefully at the picture, you'll discover before you buy that the bottle is hexagonal. (Of course, it's much better to experience it for yourself.) The number six is also in the ingredients, as this premium gin contains 6 different exotic, original Japanese spices. It also contains eight classic gin spices, so they complement each other perfectly. These are not so surprising as they contain juniper, angelica, coriander and citrus.
What does the Roku gin itself show?
On the nose, cherry blossom and green tea arrive first, giving us a very floral drink with a slightly sweet aroma. On the palate, we taste a very complex and really harmonious spirit, which shows even more complexity in the nose. A bit creamier, a bit oilier than a traditional gin, so it's worth tasting on its own. The finish retains the sweetness, but the Sansho pepper brings a slight spiciness.
