Bobby's GIN & TONIC contains Bobby's gin combined with premium tonic and natural orange flavor. Bobby's RTD boxes have a distinctive design, traditional Indonesian "Ikat" pattern.
Bobby's gin contains 8 herbs. In gin, juniper dominates the drink, while cloves, cubebs, cinnamon and lemongrass give it a characteristic "oriental" element. Poppy, fennel and coriander complete the ingredients.
Jacobus Alfons, or as his family and friends called him, Bobby, was born in Indonesia and died in World War II. He fought in the Dutch army during World War II, and then moved to the Netherlands in 1950. He really liked the local juniper-flavored drink, jenever, but he missed the flavors of home, so he made his own gin, seasoned with Indonesian plants. In 2012, Bobby's grandson, Sebastian, discovered an old gin bottle in his parents' house and, inspired by his grandfather's story and recipe, went to Schiedam, the birthplace of gin. There he met a seventh-generation gin maker, the master distiller of the Herman Jansen distillery, which has been operating since 1777, with whom Bobby's Gin was created after two years of experimentation.
So Bobby's was born from the marriage of traditional Schiedam jenever and the finest Indonesian spices. It owes its truly unique and special flavors to the following plants: lemongrass, cloves, coriander, cubeb pepper, cinnamon from the east, and juniper, rosehip and fennel from the west. Only organic ingredients are used for Bobby's Gin, which are then distilled separately with high-quality spirits. The end result is an inimitable blend of classic plants and Indonesian spices. Spicy, aromatic, with explosively fresh citrus and pleasant pepperiness, which can show a great harmony of sweet and dry flavors.
The eye-catching Bobby's glass is a modern reinterpretation of the classic jenever bottles and jugs, made of brown and gray smoked glass, decorated with the traditional Indonesian Ikat pattern. This unique bottle also symbolizes the meeting of East and West.
