“Botrytis is a truly natural wonder. Everything we dared to leave out on the vines was botrytised in 2017. This Szamorodni is a Tokaj wine through and through, with Mád’s minerality and Tarcal’s fruit,” says László Szilágyi. Ten harvest days (between October 17 and November 7) and the botrytised bunches from six vineyards (Bomboly, Medve, Barát, Deák, Szil-völgy, Kastély), from the winery’s best plots were put into the press. Fermented in barrels, then aged for half a year. Pure and linear aromas, light-bodied with honey, apricot, fresh acids and well proportioned. A modern botrytised Tokaji. Residual sugar: 143 grams, acid content: 8 grams.

Furmint supplemented with a tiny linden leaf, fermented in barrels with its own yeast. Bone-dry, layered, long wine with plenty of minerals. Grapefruit and peach, deep and juicy sip.

A restrained but complex scent. Tasted citrus, peach, pineapple, lychee, a little barbecue, minerality, spicy character vibrant in its finish. Vibrant but round acids, tight structure, long finish.

Very youthful scent with minerals, citrus and white pepper. Tasted with firm and fresh ripe white fruit, small peaches, figs and green spices. Vibrant acids, elegant and long, the winery's great promise.

The deep scent of straw yellow is shared by thyme, apples and orange peel. Its melon and avocado tame its creamy and significant, dominant minerality in the mouth. She is fine with a few years of bottle rest, more and more beautiful.

The white riolite tufa bedrock of the Betsek vineyard and the large amount of clay minerals it contains create a very distinctive fruity undertone to the wines made here, framed by a subtle but all the more exciting soft and velvety bitter finish.

One of the most varied and difficult soil conditions on the edge of the Mád basin. Red clay, interspersed with variable riolitic tufa, charred, hardened tree trunks, often with horny, zeolitic rocks. The wines of this area are generally characterised by three things: elegance, complexity and minerality. This is the case with the 2019 St. Thomas. Different accents of plantations of varying ages, just the right barrel ageing, just the right resting time. A wine with great ageing potential, with a long opening and many, many layers.

After a generally warm and dry decade, the vintage brought moderate and balanced weather in Hegyalja. The "estate furmint" of the winery, selected from the most important Szepsy vineyards, from 20 to 60-year-old vines. Predominantly fermented in barrels, spontaneously, then matured for 6 months. The tight sip is rounded off by 5 g/l residual sugar. Slow-opening, cool aroma with pear, mint, citrus, serious structure when tasted, long aging potential.

Light golden appearance, more lively aroma than medium with flowing botrytis, ripe apricot jam, popcorn, exciting herbal layers. When tasted, in addition to excellent acids, we get a botrytis that gives a proportionally deep sweetness, a saucy saltiness, lots of details, hints, like what we already got in the nose. Great piece.

Medium golden yellow colour, characterful aroma, which when experienced brings to mind positive vegetality. Waiting a little, women's perfume, Tuscan herbal shop, deep botrytis. Excellent acid-sugar balance in the mouth, the botrytis is also balanced, as is the entire wine. The saltiness enters the tangerine jam flavor very lightly and has a cooler character.

Its color is pale yellow with a greenish reflex. In its aroma, flint and delicate cloves dress up the varietal characteristics of Chardonnay. The sip is full, long, with pleasant acidity. The barrel is nicely integrated. On the palate, the vanilla starts off restrained, then, in addition to the wealth of minerals, spicy aromas dominate. A long-lasting, full-flavoured wine.

The first vintage of the wine nicknamed duck was made in 2019 based on a joint idea, packaging and concept. The idea that a good entry-level wine from Tokaj should be easy to drink, yet substantial, was a striking answer to a question that had not yet been asked and immediately became a great success. The good news is that based on the tastings of the 2023 vintage, it is the best version so far. Fast-paced, 3-day harvest so that the grapes arrive with the finest aromatics, fine pressing, fermentation and maturation 37.7% in barrels, 62.3% in tanks. Elegant cask, light, fresh and mineral, furmint that everyone can understand, with clean flavors, apple, pear and citrus.

2019 is an outstanding sweet wine vintage, we managed to make both Aszú and Szamorodni. We were able to select the raw material from Szamorodni beautifully in the last third of October. The high-quality fruit was processed in the usual way, matured in wooden barrels and bottled at the end of summer. He is currently at the beginning of his career, bursting with freshness. Its structure is tight, the fruit aromas mixed with botrytis smuggle a real Tokaj dessert wine atmosphere into the glass. Good stuff!

DYNAMIC BUBBLES, FROZENING FRUIT CASCADE

Sparkling wine comes in an explosive form, with dynamic bubbles, now in its eighth vintage. HOLD AND HOLLO DRY is always about freshness. The aroma is complex and crisp, in addition to the main green apple aromas, ripe gooseberries and a little lime give the dynamic. We can't wait to "bite into it". In a sip, it's a real fruit cocktail, where the line of ripe apples is complemented by white-fleshed grapefruit, lychee and a hint of passion fruit. In the scent of the sixth SWEET vintage, peach is emphasized, complemented by fresh fig, jasmine and peach blossom. The taste shows apricot compote, quince cheese dessert and oranges, which really give its fruitiness a character.
