MENAKAO is a brand born in Madagascar that uses a variant of criollo cocoa beans grown in the Sambirano Valley. Bean to bar chocolates are also made locally, made from local ingredients in virtually every element.
The packaging shows a tanala man. Tanalaks (meaning: people of the forest) live in southeastern Madagascar, are good connoisseurs of herbs, and use hundreds of different healers.
