Straw gold, with a regular stream of bubbles. An enticing nose, with notes of ripe citrus, honey, and juicy pineapple. In the mouth, a first fresh impression, with citrus zests, lemon curd and a mineral smokiness. A well-balanced wine, vivacious with good length.
Vineyards
Vineyards: Sárospatak: Királyhegy/Megyer, Mád: Birsalmás-vineyard, Rátka: Középhegy, Padihegy, Istenhegy. Bodrogkeresztúr: Medve-vineyard.
Planted: mostly in the 70`s, except the young Birsalmás-vineyard.
Winemaking
Early September harvest, keeping the varietals separately. Primer fermentation: 20% in oak barrels.
Secondary fermentation in the cold cellar from mid-March until the end of August.
Aged for more than 18 months in the bottle.
Dosage: 8 gr/l.
