We, at Barta, only make a pezsgő, that is, sparkling wine in vintages that perfectly suit the purpose – and 2017 was exactly such a vintage. It was an ‘easy’ growing season with limited pest pressure and a long, sunny days that ensured good phenolic ripeness and balance in the grapes. The Furmint base wine had high and fine, fresh acidity, along with minerality and elegance. Secondary fermentation took place in the bottle, and the wine was aged on the lees for 3 years before disgorgement.

Kéknyelű is a Hungarian grape variety grown only in Badacsony and the Balaton highlands. Before the phylloxera blight, it was popular and expensive. The wine is pale in color and has a restrained aroma, mainly reminiscent of white-fleshed fruits, citrus, sometimes flowers and green spices.

In 2022, the product won the Balaton Upland National Park Product Trademark again.

In its fresh, fruity taste, the features of blackcurrants and wild persimmons are most noticeable. A fresh, balanced blend dominated by Pinot Noir.

Real natural champagne, the dosage contains 0 gr of sugar. The base wine is 53% chardonnay, 21% furmint, 18% pinot noir, 8% pinot blanc. Disgorged after 18-22 months of maturation. It smells of nuts, white-fleshed fruits, pineapple, then notes of aging, biscuity, buttery, delicate brioche, which is also reflected in the taste. Strong acids on the palate, non-obtrusive bubbles, long finish.

A very special New World Chardonnay from the winery of the famous film director Francis Ford Coppola from California. An oily, full-bodied vanilla and tropical fruit wine that is very different from what we are used to and really impresses us.

The wine comes from a 25-year-old plantation, in areas between 900 and 1200 meters above sea level. Intense crimson red wine with ruby ​​hues. Fresh red and black berry fruit aromas with floral notes, earthy minerals and a touch of elegant smoke can be discovered in its aroma. It opens with rich spiciness on the palate, followed by a long and pleasant finish. It can be ideally paired with grilled red meats, stews, pasta with mushroom sauce and cheeses.

The sweetly intense, fruity aroma is followed by a larger-than-medium-bodied, lively and fine tannin sip. Concentrated wine, with aromas of smoke, vanilla, dark berries, plums and cherries.

After a generally warm and dry decade, the vintage brought moderate and balanced weather in Hegyalja. The "estate furmint" of the winery, selected from the most important Szepsy vineyards, from 20 to 60-year-old vines. Predominantly fermented in barrels, spontaneously, then matured for 6 months. The end result is an incredibly layered wine with great aging potential. Aromas of ripe blackberry, spices, the sip is silky, with ripe fruits, vanilla, long finish.
