Grown in old, rocky, granite soil, low yield (30-40 q/ha), harvested from south-western slopes, called "Napos"-vineyard, which means sunny. Its colour is ruby with a deeper tone than average Kadarka's. The wine has a rich and ripe red fruit aromas with hints of black cherries, liquorice, cloves, vanilla with fine-grained tannins. The finish is long and complex with a characteristic spicy and fruity notes typical to Cadarca. The wine undergone a two years maturation period in old and new oak barrels. Alcohol: 14%
Kadarka has a long history in the Ménesi wine region, the famous Ménesi red aszú is traditionally made from this grape variety, and thanks to Géza Balla, it is still cultivated today. The raw material comes to the rock laboratory from higher areas, with a low capital load, from old capitals, after spontaneous fermentation it reaches in small barrels of 225 l for 12 months. With a deeper tone than the average kadarka, with ripe fruits and mushrooms and spicy spices.
