La Serena Rosso di Montalcino 2020 is an elegant, ruby-red Tuscan wine made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes, which acquires its refined character after 12 months of aging in oak barrels. Its aroma is rich, with floral and fruity notes, and its taste is made unforgettable by vibrant acids, velvety tannins and a long aftertaste.
One of the excellences of the Tuscan Montalcino wine region, La Serena Rosso di Montalcino 2020 is an authentic Sangiovese Grosso wine in every taste, which was shaped to perfection by the hands of Andrea Mantengoli. The plantation is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, which provides the grapes with an ideal environment for the development of their special aroma and taste. According to the Montalcino wine law, the wine can be marketed from September of the year after the harvest, and according to Andrea's belief, Rosso di Montalcino shows its true beauty with longer bottle aging.
The ruby red color of the wine has a profound richness; in its aroma, floral and red berry fruit notes are first felt, then at the end of the sip, a pleasant, vibrant acid backbone and velvety tannins appear, which leave behind a fine body and a long-lasting aftertaste. It is an ideal accompaniment to medium-ripened cheeses, Italian pasta dishes, and beef and game meats, which show their best side when consumed at 18 °C.
