Masseria Borgo dei Trulli's Primitivo di Manduria Mirea 2023 is a deep, intense red wine made from 60-year-old vines, late-harvested and lightly dried grapes, aged 10 months in oak.
Mirea 2023 is crafted from 100% Primitivo grapes grown in Manduria, Puglia. The vines, at least 60 years old and trained in the traditional “Alberello Pugliese” method, produce extremely low yields of only 0.6 kg per plant. Harvested in mid-September, the grapes undergo slight appassimento, resulting in concentrated aromas and flavours. The wine matures for 10 months in small oak barrels. Expect a deep ruby colour, exotic spices, dark chocolate, raisin, coffee, dried plum and an exceptionally long, smooth finish.
