Eminente Reserva rum is a particularly good Cuban rum made from 100% Cuban sugar cane. It is light and clean, but also contains a lot of complex and deep aromas with rich coffee and tobacco notes, which sit next to fruity-cherry and floral aromas. Sipped simply, neat, it lends itself very well, but it can also be used to make a great Palmetto or Rum Old Fashioned.
Cuba is also known as Isla de Cocodrilo, which means the island of crocodiles. The native Cuban crocodile lives in the Zapata swamp, a UNESCO protected area, and the shape of this animal is echoed on the bottle (it resembles crocodile skin) and on the label.
