Kombucha itself (sometimes called a mushroom) is a symbiotic formation consisting of vinegar bacteria and yeast. The exact ratio of each bacteria is a trade secret, but we can tell you that VIGO kombuchas contain a combination of vinegar bacteria (mainly Gluconacetobacter and Lactobacillus bacteria) and yeast cultures (Saccharomyces genus). Kombucha is grayish-brown in the shape of a gummy cake.
In East Asia, kombucha has a long tradition. In Japan it was already known 400 years after Christ, in China it was worshiped as a divine gift. Over the centuries, the natural refreshing drink reached us in Europe as well.
Use:
It tastes best ice cold. Do not shake before consumption. Slight turbidity is not a fault of the product. After opening, store in the refrigerator and use within 48 hours.
