In 1999, two students from Hamburg were backpacking in Europe and, as usual, they were brainstorming what kind of business they should start. Among other things, there was also the idea of ​​starting a cafe and a hostel, but the two friends ended up with something completely different. They decided to establish their own cola brand and break into the market of Coca-Cola and Pepsi, which are among the most successful companies in the world. The two students had no recipe, no market experience and no more than a few thousand euros, but in twenty years they still built one of Germany's largest soft drink companies, Fritz-Cola. Cola, sold exclusively in small bottles, became the staple product of Central European new-wave nightclubs and craft cafes.
