Birch sugar xylitol
Powdered Birch Sugar - Xylit Our birch sugar, also known as xylitol, comes exclusively from European production, mainly from Finland. The basic raw material for the production is birch and beech hardwood from sustainable forestry.
The production of xylitol is very expensive. In a complex technological process, our xylitol is extracted from wood sugar called xylose. The shredded wood is mixed with water. The mass of the mixture of wood and water is then cleaned and filtered until all foreign matter has been separated from the xylitol. No tree is cut down solely to produce xylitol. Wood that cannot be used for papermaking is particularly suitable for the production of birch sugar.
