Balla Sziklabor Feketeleányka 2019 750ml

In this wine, the intense fruitiness of the feketeleányka, the aromas reminiscent of cherries, blackcurrants and blueberries are mixed with spicy characters. On the palate, soft, round tannins and a pleasant acidity make this variety lovable. The feketeleányka is a native blue grape native to Transylvania. Its origins go back to Stephen I, and the Hunyadians proved to be their favorite wine, and even the soldiers of the legendary Black Army drank it. It is rare in Transylvania, mainly on the Romanian slopes of the Carpathians. Red wine made by spontaneous fermentation, aged in 50 hl ace barrels.

The Válogatás / Selection wine family has been called KOLNA since this vintage. The Cologne were unique structures of the Stud. These smaller and larger buildings, which were arranged in rows of streets in varying sizes from press houses to luxurious villas, covered the vineyards until the 19th century and are part of the heritage of the Arad foothills to this day. The nearly two thousand kolna belonged to Stallion like kadarka, aszú, dark purple reds, rocky hills, volcanic subsoil, microclimate. They symbolize the human side of the terroir.

Kolna is a word of Serbian origin, and although the buildings bearing the name have disappeared over time with a few exceptions, the term is still used in the local language and is used only in the region. This term is just as unique as the wines born here.
