Sparkling ruby red color with a slight violet blue tint. A pleasant, open aroma of fresh fruits (dried plums, cherries and strawberries) mixed with a hint of flowers (iris and viola). A balanced, round, low-tannin wine that is harmoniously fruity.
The Beaujolais region is located in the Rhone department, 10 km from Macon (Burgundy wine region), on the slopes of the surrounding mountains. Beaujolais Nouveau made from Gamay grapes comes from this picturesque environment, which owes its world fame to its early bottling. According to the very strict French wine regulations, wines from the new vintage must not be sold before December 15. The only exception to these rules is Beaujolais Nouveau, which can be released on the market as early as the third Thursday of November.
