The Heimann family made a mix in 2019 with the best barrels, long maturation and great proportions. This is the new vintage of Barbarian, selected for the warm and early 2018 harvest.
Alcohol: 14%
Its seed is still given by Bordeaux varieties, 35% cabernet franc and 29% merlot, both from the Porkoláb Valley, low-yielding French capitals. The momentum is still felt due to the 25% doctrine and the 11% blue franc, harvested from the Bati Cross, the family's monopoly vineyard and the highest point in the wine region. Fermentation and maturation separately, in small barrels for the more full-bodied varieties, and in the traditional barrels for the blue franc and tannat. Blending a year after harvest, carefully, slowly, precisely. After another year of barrel and bottle maturation, it is now really done.
